Get Free Linux CD’s Delivered To Your Home Or Office

Most people who use Linux may already be aware of this program, but many who are new to Linux may not be aware of the Ubuntu free Linux [Shipit] right to your door program. I still see in the forums those who struggle with trying to download Linux versions and either get cut off or end up with a corrupted .iso file. I also see people struggling with burning a .iso image to disk. This leads to frustration when the distribution does not work on their system.

On the Ubuntu site it states:

??Ubuntu is available free of charge and we can send you a CD of the latest version (8.04 LTS (Hardy Heron)) with no extra cost, but the delivery may take up to ten weeks, so you should consider downloading the CD image if you have a fast Internet connection.

You need to get a Launchpad account and once registered you can than place your order for the CD.

Comments welcome.

PS If you know if any other free CD offers for any Linux distributions, please let us know.
