T-Mobile Will Offer Android-Powered Samsung Behold II (NewsFactor)

NewsFactor – T-Mobile USA is prepping Samsung’s new Behold II smartphone for an exclusive launch in advance of this year’s holiday shopping season. The touchscreen-enabled 3G handset based on Google’s Android platform will provide users with direct access to Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube videos, and Google Talk as well as thousands of applications and games from the Android Market, T-Mobile said.

Adobe’s Mobile Flash Player Will Skip Apple’s iPhone (NewsFactor)

NewsFactor – Adobe Systems’ Flash technology is ubiquitous on desktop and laptop computers, but its availability on smartphones and other mobile devices is spotty. Adobe is now looking to change that, with its announcement Monday of a public developer beta of Flash Player 10.1 for “smartphones, smartbooks, netbooks, PCs and other Internet-connected devices.” One device left off the list: Apple’s iPhone.
